Below, we explain the steps for downloading and launching the product.
Important Notes Regarding the Download
When downloading the product (ZIP file) from our website, browsers such as Google Chrome may interrupt the download, deeming it dangerous for security reasons. Here is how to handle such situations:
Handling Download Interruptions
１．For Google Chrome:
If the download is interrupted, check the warning message displayed at the bottom of the browser.
Click the "Details" button within the message.
Select the "Continue" or "Keep" option to resume the download.
2. For Other Browsers:
Similarly, review the browser's warning message and choose the option to continue the download from the details or advanced options.
3. Temporarily Lower Safe Browsing Protection Level (Google Chrome):
Click the "three dots" in the upper right corner of the browser and select "Settings."
Click on "Privacy and security" from the menu on the left.
Select "Security."
In the "Safe Browsing" section, choose "No protection (not recommended)." This will allow the download to proceed smoothly, but it is recommended to revert to the original setting after the download.

2. Extracting the ZIP File
Place the downloaded ZIP file in a desired folder and right-click on it.
From the menu that appears, select "Extract All."
Specify the destination folder and click the "Extract" button.
3. Launching the Product (SIT COBOL)
Open the folder where you extracted the ZIP file.
Locate the file named `sitcobol.exe` within the extracted folder.
Double-click the `sitcobol.exe` file to open the SIT COBOL editor.
4. Running the Program
A simple program will be displayed in the editor screen when you open it.
Click the [Excecution] button located at the top left.
The execution results (output of the DISPLAY statement) will be shown in the Execution Log screen below.
5. Creating a Shortcut (Recommended)
Open the folder where you extracted the ZIP file.
Right-click the `sitcobol.exe` file.
From the menu that appears, select "Send to" and then click "Desktop (create shortcut)."
A shortcut will be created on your desktop. This allows you to easily launch the SIT COBOL editor by simply double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop next time.
